Most people begin to notice the signs of facial aging when they reach their 30s. The constant frowning, squinting, stressing, and even laughing will take a heavy toll on the muscles of the face and form grooves in the skin. If you have noticed wrinkles forming, you may be considering Botox.

Why Do I Have Facial Wrinkles?

Every time you squint, frown, or make any other facial expression, it is a result of facial-muscle movements. After making these movements over and over again, your muscles begin to stiffen and find it harder to return to their original position. These contracted facial muscles create lines, creases, and crinkles on your skin.

Address Wrinkles with Botox

Anti-wrinkle lotions and creams can only do so much. In the battle against signs of aging, patients need something more effective: Botox, an injectable neuromodulator treatment. Botox smooths away wrinkles and stops new creases, expression lines, and folds from forming.

The Botox treatment is a game changer. It reduces muscle activity at the injection site, which allows the skin to relax and to look smooth and youthful again.

Your Botox Consultation

During your consultation, Dr. Neigel will examine the areas of your face that are causing you concern. The two of you will discuss your complete medical history, including any allergies you may have and any medications you are currently taking.

You will be able to ask questions and review before-and-after photos of past patients. If you are suitable for the Botox treatment, only then can the procedure be performed.

What Is a Botox Treatment Like?

Botox treatment begins with marking of the areas targeted for treatment. Injections are made in the muscles beneath the wrinkles, so the undesirable wrinkles will be marked.

After this takes place, local anesthesia or a topical numbing cream will be administered to the marked sites. This will ensure that the Botox injections are comfortable and painless.

Finally, small amounts of Botox will be carefully injected into the targeted areas. The procedure usually only takes around 20 minutes to perform, often even less.

After Getting Botox

Once you’ve gotten your Botox treatment, you will be free to return to your daily schedule immediately. No downtime will be needed, and you won’t even need to take time off from work. Many people get this procedure done during their lunch break.

A small degree of tenderness, bruising, and swelling may be present at the injection sites. Using an ice pack will help to address these issues.

Get Your Botox Treatment from Dr. Neigel

Botox treatments performed by a skilled professional are your most powerful preventative tool against a lined and aged face. This is a highly personalized process. When administering an injection, the medical professional will need to understand the shape of your face and the balance and position of your features.

When submental fat (fat under the chin) accumulates, it can create the appearance of the double chin. This can make a person look older or overweight, even when they are at a healthy body weight.

A double chin is a burden that many are unable to get rid of. You can exercise to reduce overall body fat, but it is ineffective for spot reduction, especially in the submental region. How can you get rid of submental fat?

Kybella: Effective Spot Reduction

Kybella is an FDA-approved prescription medicine that treats submental fat. It is composed of deoxycholic acid. A naturally occurring molecule in your body, deoxycholic acid is a bile acid that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fats. Kybella’s synthetic deoxycholic acid mimics the body’s natural fat-absorption process.

When injected beneath your chin, Kybella destroys the fat cells that create the look of a double chin, which results in the reduction of submental fullness. Once destroyed, fat cells cannot accumulate and store fat again, meaning results are permanent.

Are You a Suitable Candidate for Kybella?

If you are looking for the Kybella treatment, you must be a suitable candidate. The following questions help determine Kybella candidacy:
• Are you under 18 years of age?
• Have you had any cosmetic procedures done recently?
• Do you take anti-inflammatory drugs regularly?
• Do you have an infection, rash, or wound in the treatment area?
• Do you have trouble swallowing?
• Are you pregnant, breastfeeding, or want to be pregnant?
• Do you have breathing problems?
• Do you smoke regularly?

If you have answered “yes” to any or all of these questions, then you are not an ideal candidate for Kybella.

What Are the Benefits of Kybella?

Kybella is the first and only non-surgical injectable FDA-approved treatment to reduce the fat accumulated under the chin. It offers the following benefits:
• It is a minimally invasive treatment with little or no downtime.
• With Kybella, there is no need for invasive liposuction surgery.
• Kybella has little or no side effects.
• Since destroyed fat does not grow again, repeat treatment is not required.
• It can take years off of your appearance by giving you a nicely sculpted jawline.

If you have submental fat, then Kybella is your go-to treatment to have a better-looking chin that can make you look several years younger.

You don’t need to undergo invasive surgery to get a slimmer look – all you need is Kybella from Dr. Janet Neigel to get the aesthetic you desire. Dr. Neigel is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has years of experience in aesthetic care. Contact our office to schedule your initial consultation with Dr. Neigel today.

During your consultation, Dr. Neigel will examine your facial features and discuss your complete medical history, including any allergies you may have and any medications you are currently taking. As we get older, the effects of aging start becoming apparent in many ways. Aging can lead to the development of wrinkles on the face.

Wrinkles are a clear indicator of one’s age and can make a person feel self-conscious. Even younger people can develop age lines due to various reasons. Cosmetic treatments like Dysport can be used to get rid of these unwanted wrinkles.

What Is Dysport?

Dysport is an injection used to treat wrinkles and is composed of botulinum toxin type A. Botulinum can be used in small quantities quite safely. This neurotoxin blocks the contractions of facial muscles.

How Dysport Works

Dysport helps to treat and prevent wrinkles. It is a minimally invasive injection procedure that works on the muscles beneath the wrinkles, making them more relaxed. Relaxed muscles make the skin smooth, ironing out wrinkles.

Dysport can be used to treat a number of facial lines. It can treat crow’s feet, horizontal forehead wrinkles, and vertical frown lines that appear between the eyebrows when one frowns.

Who Should Get Dysport?

Anyone troubled by wrinkles can opt for this procedure. However, it is not recommended for those who have moderate to harsh lines, only mild wrinkles.

Candidates must be above the age of 18 and below age 65. Pregnant women cannot get this treatment. In addition, anyone with a milk allergy or sensitivity to botulinum is advised not to get this treatment.

Patients taking blood thinners are advised to stop the consumption of such medicines prior to the treatment. Also, those with skin disorders or thin skin will need to consult with Dr. Neigel to decide if they are suitable candidates.

The Dysport Treatment Process

There is no hospitalization required with this outpatient procedure. No anesthesia is needed, but an anesthetic gel can be applied on the skin to numb the region to any discomfort or pain.

After the gel takes effect, Dysport is injected into the wrinkles. On completion, the patient can leave and immediately resume their normal routine without any downtime required. The entire procedure will not take much time and may be concluded in less than half an hour.

After Treatment

There is no healing needed after the procedure. The effects of Dysport start to become evident within a few days and usually last for around three to four months. After this period, the injection needs to be administered again so that the patient can continue being free of wrinkles.

Get In Touch

You don’t need to undergo invasive surgery to get a youthful look – all you need is Dysport from Dr. Janet Neigel, who is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, to get the look you desire. Contact our office to schedule your initial consultation with Dr. Neigel today.

During your consultation, Dr. Neigel will examine your facial wrinkles and discuss your complete medical history. You will be able to ask questions and review before-and-after photos of past patients. If you are suitable for the procedure, a treatment date will be scheduled.

Do you need to get rid of lines that make you look older than you actually are? Are you seeking a non-evasive, pain-free treatment? Look no further than GentleWaves for your collagen breakdown technique.

What is GentleWaves?

GentleWaves is a device that uses low intensity LED lights to stimulate the skin’s collagen production while slowing down the breakdown process. The process is known as photomodulation and is safe for any skin type.

The LED light technology is useful in smoothing out fine lines while shrinking pores. The result is youthful and healthy-looking skin. Your certified doctor is capable of giving you the treatment through an outpatient technique.

Why Is Gentlewaves The Ideal Solution To Enhance Your Spa Treatment?

GentleWaves Elite is the best compliment to most anti-aging spa treatments. On top of the technology stimulating collagen production, LED Photomodulation drastically reduces redness and skin irritation after treatments like chemical peels and microdermabrasion.

What is LED Photomodulation?

This is an interaction of light delivered via Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to activate cells causing them to create more collagen.

It is different from other light-based skin treatments like laser skin resurfacing and thermal injury to the skin’s collagen. Relying on laser skin resurfacing and thermal injury to collagen, blood vessels or water in creating changes to the skin may be able to do the job. But LED Photomodulation doesn’t rely on thermal energy and connected trauma in effecting the change. Hence, patients are not exposed to variables associated with wound healing.

Is It Possible To Combine Led Photomodulation With Other Treatments?

Yes, administering LED Photomodulation can be done alone or in combination with other treatments. It has been found to be perfectly paired with various skin treatments like Botox and other types of dermal fillers and non-ablative lasers.

What Are The Advantages of Using Gentle Waves?

GentleWaves LED Photomodulation is capable of providing anti-aging benefits minus the unwanted side effects or pain. It is the only technique capable of slowing down collagen breakdown and improving the skin surface’s appearance minus the blistering and redness.

GentleWaves LED Photomodulation is a great non-ablative technique capable of reducing the early signs of aging, specifically around the lips and eyes. It is also capable of being used on other body parts and is even a useful tool for specific spots like the chest.

Who Is The Ideal Candidate?

Individuals who want to reduce aging lines around the nose or mouth, soften forehead wrinkles, and improve the overall skin tone make for the best candidates for this procedure. This technique is approved for men and women of any skin type.

How Is The Gentlewaves Led Photomodulation Carried Out?

A specific machine delivers LED energy pulses to specific spots of skin in a few minutes. This is a 100% pain-free process that utilizes modulated light. GentleWaves LED Photomodulation requires no anesthesia or incisions of any kind. Most patients select this procedure as it can be quite soothing.

How Long Is Recovery?

Most activities can be resumed almost immediately with zero special aftercare requirements being needed. You don’t need to worry about long periods of downtime or taking time off your normal daily routine.

Are you desperate to get rid of your excess fat after trying everything you can think of from dieting to strenuous exercise routines? These don’t always give you the results you want, and many people find that after doing them for a while, the end-result isn’t exactly what they expected to see in the mirror.

You will be surprised to find out that many people with a deficiency in the required vitamins and other essential nutrients are unable to get rid of their excess fat and find that they’ll retain it, despite all the effort they put into getting rid of the fat. The reason for this is that their body ceases to function as it should.

It proves that it might not be your diet or exercise regimen, but your body that lacks the fundamental nutrition that is limiting your ability to lose weight. Recently, there have been a rise in Lipotropic injections that have stormed the market and have proven effective in helping you lose that excess fat without the need for an invasive surgical procedure.

What Are Lipotropic Injections?

Lipotropics are substances that affect fat metabolism in your body. Lipotropic compounds consist of a combination of ingredients that are known to improve the breakdown of fat in the liver. To be more precise, these injections consist of a solution of lipotropic nutrients that are made up of various components that help in burning fat. Choline, L-Carnitine, Methionine, Inositol, B-complex vitamins, Vitamin B12, and other essential vitamins and amino acids are examples of lipotropic injections.

Each nutrient plays a unique role in the way your body burns fat, and in turn metabolizes fat for further weight loss and energy throughout the day. Furthermore, this is how your body eliminates toxins from its system. These shots are natural and safe, and doctors, as well as weight loss specialists use these injections on their patients in an effort to achieve fat loss success.

The benefits and results for your overall well being and energy levels are noticed immediately upon use. When Lipo is combined with a proper diet and exercise regimen, you can expect breathtaking results when using the lipotropic injections as prescribed.

What is Lipo MIC B-12 Injection?

Lipotropic MIC B12 injections are a combination of ingredients that are administered by a needle to increase fat metabolism and boost wellness. It is often used by people who are trying to lose weight. These injectable shots are commonly linked with healthy exercise and a planned diet program.

With a high dose of essential nutrients that your system needs, you’ll notice a gradual change in your body. As you are encouraging additional loss of fat and enhancing calorie burn, your body naturally loses fat and overall weight. The treatment also assists your body in expelling excess fat that has settled into your bloodstream, which automatically leads to a higher calorie burn. You also notice that you gradually lose more weight even if there have been no changes to your diet.

Lipo MIC B12 injections help to boost the body’s metabolism by providing a highly effective and temporary increase of normal metabolic functions. If the injections are administered with a low-calorie diet and exercise, the formula in the injections helps get rid of the fat in your body, while at the same time increases energy levels through the fat released and the properties that vitamin B12 provides to your body.

Everyone dreams of maintaining their youthful facial features as they get older, but after a certain age, that vibrant charm is lost, and those early signs of aging begin to appear. As wrinkles and fine lines develop, they can cause you to lose that youthful allure and make you look much older and tired. Over the course of time, people have to deal with having a sunken-in and gaunt face, sagging skin on the cheeks, and saggy eyelids that make them look sad or tired.

The problems you may experience may not come from only the aging process either. Some people who experience issues like these may suffer from certain illnesses, losing a significant amount of weight in a short time, and certain medications they may be taking.

The loss of facial volume, especially in the cheeks, around the eyes and temples is called facial lipoatrophy. There are a variety of treatments available to improve upon the volume deficiency, but there’s one stand-out that has proven to be especially effective. That treatment is known as Sculptra.

Sculptra

Sculptra is an FDA approved dermal filler that’s composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. It works to dramatically improve the look and feel of your skin by adding volume and smoothening any wrinkles and fine lines in the treatment area.

The boost in collagen production it provides can help to further improve the quality of your skin long after the initial results are seen. This allows for long lasting results and less recurring treatments.

The Benefits of Sculptra

There are a great deal of benefits one can obtain from utilizing the Sculptra treatment. Sculptra is highly effective in stimulating collagen production and works to create a youthful and vibrant look that you can feel confident with. Over the course of time, you’ll continue to notice great improvements.

Collagen is a fibrous protein that helps to support the structure of the skin. Poly-L-Lactic acid injected deep into the dermis stimulates the body’s natural process for producing more collagen.

Unlike other dermal injections, Sculptra is a gradual process that does not make an overnight fix, but one that shows initial improvements, and more down the lines. Since it is a gradual process, it will be less noticeable that you have had any work done.

Not only does it improve facial volume, Sculptra also works great for fading out wrinkles and fine lines. The improve look does not come at the cost of looking unnatural. The improvements you see while using Sculptra will appear natural and beautiful.

The treatment is fully customizable to fit the needs of each patient. No procedures are the same because everyone’s facial features are different. By receiving a customized treatment, the look you obtain will truly be yours.

One of the best things about the Sculptra treatment is that patients can rest easy knowing that they don’t have to undergo an invasive surgery to obtain beautiful results. You can receive the injectable and get back to your normal routine in no time.

Chemical peels are skin-rejuvenation procedures where a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers of skin. The surface layer that takes its place after a chemical peel is more smooth and gives a more youthful appearance. Chemical peels are commonly used to treat wrinkles, skin discoloration, and scars.

Chemical peels can be used at different depths, either light, medium or deep, depending on the condition of the skin and desired results. Every type of chemical peel uses a different chemical solution. The deeper chemical peels produce more-dramatic results, but they also involve longer recovery times.

What Is A Deep Chemical Peel?

A deep chemical peel is a treatment that removes skin cells from the epidermis of the skin and from portions of the mid to lower layer of your dermis. A deep chemical peel is usually recommended if you have deeper wrinkles, scars, or outward growths.

What Happens After A Deep Chemical Peel?

The areas treated during the chemical peel will start to develop new skin within two weeks after the deep chemical peel treatment, cysts or white spots might appear for several weeks and the redness may last for months.

After a deep chemical peel, patients will see dramatic improvements in the look and feel of their skin. After the treatment is completed, you will need to make sure to keep your skin protected with sunscreen and moisturizer to ensure that it maintains its youthful allure for a longer period of time.

Your new layer of skin will eventually take form and completely cover the treated area in about two weeks. Your skin will peel for around 3–10 Days.

What You Can Expect After A Chemical Peel

1. Immediate Results

A chemical peel works to remove the uppermost layers of the skin at a microscopic level. This will immediately tighten the skin, unclog pores, improve lines, and leave skin with a younger, velvety-smooth texture.

2. No Recovery or Downtime

A chemical peel may cause some discomfort, but patients can return to their normal daily activities. The bio-elements in chemical peels coax the skin into shape rather than attack it. There is no need to hide your skin or face after your treatment, unlike traditional peels.

How To Look After Skin After A Deep Chemical Peel?

Carefully Treat Your Skin

Use a gentle cleanser and a hydrating serum or gel that contains hyaluronic acid or ceramides to help soothe the skin in the days following a chemical peel. Keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated will keep it looking beautiful for longer.

Don’t Neglect Sunscreen

The chemical peel is used to accelerate the exfoliation of dead skin cells to reveal fresh, new skin. The most significant risk during this process is sun exposure, and using a high, broad-spectrum SPF to keep the skin safe during this delicate time following the procedure is recommended.

You don’t need to undergo an invasive surgery to get a youthful look. All you need is a chemical peel from skilled cosmetic surgeon Dr. Janet Neigel to get the look of your dreams. Contact our office to schedule your initial consultation today.

Vollure, also known as Juvederm Vollure, is a type of hyaluronic acid-based facial filler that has specifically been developed to treat nasolabial folds and parentheses lines around the mouth. It is one of the longest lasting dermal filler treatments available in the market today for the midface region. The results provided by the Juvederm Vollure treatment can last up to several months.

Traditionally, nasolabial folds and parentheses lines were treated using just standard Juvederm injections. However, Vollure now offers much better results, thanks to Vycross Technology. The technology allows the doctor to contour the injected area and deliver results that last longer.

What Does Vollure Treat?

As mentioned above, Vollure can be used to smooth out moderate to heavy wrinkles and fine lines that show up as a result of aging. This is especially true for wrinkles and fine lines near the nose and mouth.

Vollure is injected deep into the facial tissue, where it works to add temporary volume in the nasolabial folds and the parentheses.

The procedure delivers noticeable, but subtle results that are long-lasting. The goal is to offer a look that makes your facial skin look naturally refreshed.

The Contents of Vollure

Vollure is essentially a dermal filler that contains a small amount of lidocaine, which helps provide an anesthetic effect. The anesthetic effect helps patients not feel any sort of discomfort during the injection process.

However, the active ingredient in Vollure is hyaluronic acid. This is an acid that actually occurs in the human body naturally. Its role is to transport and deliver nutrients to the skin, help the skin retain water, thereby, ensuring hydration, and to act as a cushioning agent.

Is Everyone Eligible for Vollure?

Most adults are good candidates for Vollure. However, you may not be able to qualify for Vollure if…

• You are known to have multiple allergies to multiple substances.
• You have a history of allergies that advance to anaphylaxis.
• You are allergic to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins.

Typical Treatment Areas for Vollure

As stated earlier, Vollure is most often used for treating facial wrinkles and smooth folds. This, needless to say, covers areas such as the parentheses lines near the mouth and the nasolabial folds. But, Vollure isn’t limited to treating these areas. There are many other areas of the face that can benefit from Vollure. For instance, the chin, the jawline, the perioral lines, and the temples.

Your doctor or medical care provider will assess your needs to determine the exact treatment technique required.

Results

In order to achieve optimal results, a single session of Vollure is more than enough. The correction is temporary in any case. Over time, the dermal filler will break down and get absorbed by the body. As a result, touch-up injections or repeat sessions will be needed. However, less material may be used for the repeat sessions.

Recovery

Since this is a minimally invasive injectable treatment, you can rest easy knowing that you won’t have to take on a lot of downtime. You can safely return to your normal activities, but it is advised that you avoid strenuous activities for about a week.

Want to get rid of those unsightly wrinkles and rejuvenate your youthful appearance? Contact our office to schedule your initial consultation with Dr. Janet Neigel today. With her help, you’ll be on your way to the youthful look you’ve been wanting.

Most people deal with having a double chin, that hides their jawline. Even if they work out every day and follow a healthy diet, it may not be of any use. Most of the time, all the exercising and foods can’t help them get a nicely defined jawline.

People usually have no control over this, and as they age, the area under their chin and on the upper part of their neck starts to sag a little. People who have an enlarged thyroid have fullness under their jaws due to enlarged lymph nodes and not because of fat.

Whatever the case may be, a defined jawline is something we cannot work out naturally. Kybella is a new age fat melting injectable designed especially to correct the area under your chin.

What Is Kybella?

Kybella is an FDA approved injectable that can break down and dissolve your chin fat and remove the double chin. At the same time, it will tighten the skin, giving your face and jaw a more defined and refined shape.

Kybella is a deoxycholic acid that is an injectable compound. This substance is present naturally in our body and helps in absorbing fat by amplifying the metabolism of dietary fat. It is a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment. Kybella is used for the treatment of moderate to severe submental fat or double chin.

How Does Kybella Work?

Synthetic deoxycholic acid is an active ingredient in Kybella. The active ingredient, is a molecule that occurs naturally in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

It works by disrupting fat cell membranes, which causes the destruction of the fat cells. After injecting Kybella beneath the chin, it results in a noticeable reduction in the fullness of the double chin. This, in turn, tightens the skin around the chin area.

What Happens During A Kybella Procedure?

First, you consult with your doctor, the area under your chin is examined and your doctor will determine whether Kybella is right for you. Your doctor will then create a treatment that is right for you and the amount of fat present under your chin to achieve your aesthetic goals.

Each Kybella treatment session involves multiple small injections. First, your doctor will use a template and marker to identify the injection sites carefully. It helps in ensuring that Kybella is injected where it is intended and doesn’t stray toward the many nerves and muscles contained in your jaw.

A topical numbing anesthetic is administered by your doctor to avoid any discomfort during the procedure. Kybella is then injected directly into the skin under your chin.

The actual procedure lasts 15-20 minutes. As the fat starts dissolving, often within 15-30 minutes or less, you may notice swelling in the area due to your body’s inflammatory process. Your doctor will determine the number of injections that you require and sessions required to achieve your goal. It is a minimally-invasive treatment, so there is no downtime after the process is completed.

What Are The Results?

After the Kybella treatment, you will notice visible changes in your facial appearance. The double chin will no longer be a part of your face, and your jawline will look more toned and defined.

Feel like hiding those early signs of aging, but finding it to be more difficult than you imagined? When your face starts to show the early signs of aging prominently, it can make you look much older and bring down your self-confidence. It is the prime give away of your age. It also reflects your general health and well-being. Sometimes due to pollution or a pre-disposed hereditary condition, the facial skin suffers from sagging.

Age is never too kind to your skin, especially your facial skin. If you are looking for non-surgical ways to lift your sagging facial skin then Instalift Facelift may be the best available option for you.

What does Silhouette Instalift do?

Within a span of only 45 minutes, this innovative procedure manages to take years away from your skin. After the procedure is completed, you’ll have younger looking skin almost instantaneously.

Good Candidates for the Silhouette Instalift

If you are unhappy with the look of sagging facial skin, then this is the facelift for you. It is also the most popular and most recommended option for anybody wanting to avoid surgical procedures.

The end result is outstanding as your youthful look will be restored naturally. Both men and women can benefit from the Silhouette Instalift. The end result also lasts for a long period of time with some people experiencing changes that last up to 18 months. It also does not require the kind of maintenance other procedures require on an annual basis.

How is the Instalift Facelift Performed?

Your doctor will make use of fine sutures applied at the subcutaneous level of your skin. These help address the sagging skin in the area. It also promotes collagen formation as the new biodegradable material is introduced, which is gradually absorbed within the skin.

The fibroblast activation that’s stimulated by Silhouette Instalift is one of a kind. It encourages tissue and collagen growth at different levels. Sutures are made in such a way that the face is held by the bi-directional cones, unique to Silhouette Instalift. This will help improve the structure of your face and enhance its overall shape.

Recovery and Results from the Silhouette Instalift

The Silhouette Instalift is a safe and effective procedure that does not cause much in the form of discomfort. General anesthesia is not required for this type of treatment. Only local anesthetic is required.

Since this type of procedure does not require the use of incisions, patients can rest easy knowing that they don’t have to go through a long period of downtime or recovery after the surgery.

This type of surgery should only be done under the guidance of a skilled cosmetic surgeon. You can begin by scheduling a consultation where you can learn more about the treatment and clear any doubt that you may have regarding the process.

During the consultation, you can talk to your doctor about your needs and expectations. She will then develop the perfect treatment plan to accomplish your unique goals. The initial effects of the treatment depends on the the laxity of your skin. You’ll see an immediate improvement that will continue to get better as time goes on.

Since it stimulates the production of collagen in the skin itself, it gives a natural finish to your beautiful new look. Patients also don’t have to worry about unnecessary risks like allergic reactions, since everything used is biodegradable.

After getting the procedure done you will surely not be disappointed as the effect will last longer than any other non-surgical procedure.
