Eskata

Eskata is a new, FDA approved, cosmetic topical solution for treatment of raised seborrheic keratosis. Those raised, rough spots typically found on the face, neck, chest or any other area of the body. Often, these growths appear as we age. Usually more unattractive as they are harmful.
Eskata is an in-office procedure that takes about 15 minutes. Eskata comes in a pen and can be used to treat one to ten spots, depending on the size. The area where SK’s are on the body are cleaned and then the solution is applied. Over the next several weeks (typically 2-3 weeks) the spot becomes red, crusted and disappear. Most patients will require one to two sessions depending on the size and thickness of the SK lesions.
Eskata is not covered by insurance and is a great alternative to laser or other forms of removal.
