Chemical Peels North New Jersey

At EltraSelf Neigel Center we specialize in chemical peels for all skin types and ethnicities. A chemical peel is a non-invasive skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to peel away the top layers.

Chemical peels can be done at different depths (light, medium, or deep) depending on your desired results. Rosacea, hyperpigmentation, mild scaring, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and even acne can be treated with a chemical peel. Patients will consult with our medical aestheticians before a chemical peel to determine which peel, is the right peel for them.

Chemical Peels

SkinMedica Illuminize Peel®

The Illuminize Peel is a gentle and mild, alpha-hydroxy acid peel to brighten the overall appearance of the skin and treat mild skin imperfections. Since the Illuminize Peel is so gentle, there is no downtime, discomfort, or visible peeling. This peel is so light that you can go to a special event right after with a glowing complexion.

Vitalize Peel®

The Vitalize Peel® is one of the most requested peels. This peel combines the benefits of alpha-hydroxy and other peeling agents to offer a strong, but gentle treatment that’s appropriate for all skin types. The Vitalize Peel® improves mild to moderate skin imperfections and requires minimal downtime. 24-48 hours after the treatment, patients will have a dry, flaky peeling that lasts about 3-4 days. Some patients do not peel, yet still, achieve good results in reducing the visible signs of aging and improvement in skin texture and tone. For optimal results, we recommend doing a series of peels.

Rejuvenize Peel®

This is the strongest of the SkinMedica peels. Recommended for moderate to severe skin imperfections, and severe skin damage, the Rejuvenize Peel ® will help smooth the appearance of fine lines, and wrinkles and improve the roughness in skin texture. 24-48 hours after the peel, patients will have a dry, flaky peeling that lasts 3-4 days and occasionally will last a few more days.

Chemical Peels

Melanage Peel for Pigmentation

The Melanage peel is the strongest superficial peel we offer for the treatment of uneven skin tone, deep pigmentation, and melasma. Formulated to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmented skin, this peel is applied in the office and involves an at-home regimen.

How does it work?

Melanage 1 Masque is applied during an office visit where it is compounded freshly by our medical aesthetician to ensure its potency and reliability. The masque is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on their skin type. Patients leave the office with this masque on their faces. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage products following masque removal.

What results can I expect?

Results will vary; however, generally, patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of pigmented areas. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve. Although most patients experience peeling of their skin, not every patient will peel.

The benefits of The Melanage Skin Lightening System, include the stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminished fine lines and pigmentation.
